The PWD Federation Andhra Pradesh conducted a State-Level Leaders’ Meeting in Vijayawada under the leadership of [President Kanuru Sankara Rao]. Representatives from various districts and disability categories actively participated in this meeting.During the session, the members discussed in detail several key issues concerning persons with disabilities, including welfare schemes, employment opportunities, education, accessibility, and social inclusion. The meeting emphasized the urgent need for government action to resolve the challenges faced by differently-abled citizens in the state.After the discussions, the committee members visited the District Collector’s Office, Vijayawada, and submitted a detailed representation to:The District Collector,Officials of various political parties,The Commissioner of Differently-Abled Welfare Department, Mr. Ravi Prakash,The General Secretary, Ms. RajyalakshmiThe representation highlighted the current problems, requested policy reforms, and proposed new development and welfare initiatives for the disabled community in Andhra Pradesh.The committee resolved to continue efforts in coordination with government departments and social organizations to ensure equal rights, opportunities, and dignity for all persons with disabilities.
